Acceptance of these terms
By using this website or ordering a service from Federal Apostille USA, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or our services. These terms apply alongside our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy.
Who we are, and are not
Federal Apostille USA is a private document authentication company. We are not a government agency, and we are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of the U.S. Department of State, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, the Florida Secretary of State, or any other government body. We are a service that prepares and submits documents to those agencies on your behalf.
What we do
We prepare, submit, track and return documents for authentication — apostille, federal authentication, embassy legalization, FBI background checks, and related services as described on our site. Government fees are set by the relevant agencies and are separate from, though often included in, the price we quote. We do not control government processing times or outcomes.
Your responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- Giving us accurate information about your document and its destination.
- Confirming the requirements of the receiving party or country — some authorities have specific requirements we cannot know in advance.
- Ensuring documents from states other than Florida are authenticated by their issuing state before sending them to us, where our service requires it.
- Not sending us documents that are fraudulent, altered, or that you are not entitled to authenticate.
Documents you send remain your property. You are responsible for retaining your own copies before sending originals.
Not legal advice
Information on this site and from our staff is general guidance about the authentication process. It is not legal advice, and it does not create an attorney-client relationship. For legal questions about how a document will be used abroad, consult a qualified attorney.
Pricing and payment
Prices shown on our site are current at the time of publication and may change. The price that applies to your order is the one we confirm with you when the order is finalized. Payment is due as arranged at that time. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.
Turnaround and delivery
Turnaround estimates are based on typical government processing and are not guarantees. We are not liable for delays caused by government agencies, carriers, customs, weather, or other factors outside our control. Risk of loss for shipped documents passes according to the carrier's terms; we use tracked shipping to reduce that risk.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of your order is limited to the amount you paid us for that order. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including missed deadlines, lost opportunities, or costs arising from a government agency's decision. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Your indemnity
You agree to hold us harmless from claims arising out of your providing inaccurate information, sending documents you were not entitled to authenticate, or your use of the authenticated documents.
Website content
The content, design and materials on this website are owned by Federal Apostille USA or used with permission, and may not be copied or reused without our consent. The names and seals of government agencies referenced on this site belong to those agencies and are used only to describe the services we provide.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Palm Beach County, Florida.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The “last updated” date at the top reflects the current version. Continuing to use the site or our services after a change means you accept the updated terms.
