How pricing works

Every fixed price above is all-inclusive: it covers the relevant government fee — the U.S. Department of State authentication fee, the Florida Secretary of State fee where it applies, and embassy legalization where it applies — along with our processing and tracked shipping within the United States. There are no separate charges added after you order.

Two things worth knowing before you order

  • Out-of-state documents must arrive already authenticated. We authenticate Florida state documents in-house through the Florida Secretary of State. A document issued by any other state must be authenticated by that state’s Secretary of State before we can process it — our Other State Document service assumes this step is already done.
  • Hague and non-Hague follow different paths. A document going to a Hague Convention country needs only an apostille. A document going to a non-Hague country needs authentication plus embassy legalization, which is why those services cost more and take longer. If you are not sure which applies, tell us the destination and we will confirm.

Certified translation and embassy legalization

Certified translation is quoted per request, because it depends on the document, the language pair and the length. Standalone embassy legalization is a flat $99 when the document has already been authenticated by the U.S. Department of State. If your document still needs that authentication first, the combined service — Federal Authentication + Embassy Legalization — is the one to choose.
