Refund Policy

The short version
Our fees cover work and government charges that begin the moment your order moves. Government fees, once paid to an agency, cannot be recovered by anyone. What we can refund depends on how far your order has progressed. This policy explains exactly where the lines fall, so there are no surprises.
Before we begin processing
If you have placed an order but we have not yet submitted your document to any government agency or incurred any government fee on your behalf, you may cancel for a full refund of what you paid us. Contact us as early as possible — the sooner you reach us, the more likely your order is still at this stage.
After processing has begun
Once your document has been submitted to the U.S. Department of State, the Florida Secretary of State, the FBI or its channelers, or an embassy or consulate, the government portion of your fee has been paid to that agency and is non-refundable — those agencies do not return their fees, and we cannot recover them. At this stage, our service fee is also non-refundable, because the work has been done.
If only part of a multi-step order has begun — for example, the state authentication is complete but embassy legalization has not started — we will refund the portion that has not yet been incurred.
If a document is rejected
Government agencies set their own requirements and occasionally reject documents. Where a rejection results from something on our side, we correct it and resubmit at no additional cost to you. Where a rejection results from the document itself — an issue with how it was issued, a missing prerequisite such as a required prior authentication, or information that does not match — government fees already paid cannot be refunded, but we will tell you exactly what is needed to make the document acceptable and help you get there.
Documents we cannot process
Some documents cannot be authenticated as presented — for example, a photocopy of a naturalization certificate, or an out-of-state document that has not first been authenticated by its issuing state. If we identify this before submitting anything or paying any government fee, we refund your payment in full. We will always tell you if your document is not eligible before we spend anything on it.
Turnaround times
The turnaround times shown on our site are estimates based on typical government processing. They are not guarantees, because processing speed at government agencies is outside our control. A longer-than-usual government processing time is not grounds for a refund, but we will keep you informed of where your order stands.
Shipping charges
Nationwide shipping is included in our prices. The flat worldwide return charge covers international carriage that we arrange and pay for; once a shipment is dispatched, that charge is non-refundable. We are not responsible for delays caused by carriers, customs, or destination-country handling.
How to request a refund
To cancel an order or request a refund, contact us as soon as possible with your name and order details. We review every request individually and respond promptly. Refunds are issued to the original payment method.
